I just need to lose weight, then I will be happy.
Does this sound familiar?
For many, people associate weight loss (or any goal they may have) with happiness. “I just need to get to this weight” they think.
While there’s nothing wrong with having goals and wanting to achieve them we want to remind you that happiness is found on the journey, not on the destination.
Quite often people will hit the weight they have been so desperately striving for, only to reach it and realize it wasn’t what the expected.
They find themselves wanting to be smaller, wanting to be more muscular, wanting more more more.
Something to remember: there is no reason you can’t be happy at this very moment. Happiness comes from within, and no matter how many physical changes we make…. If we don’t work on what’s in our mind we will forever be chasing this happiness.
So, our question for you today is: Are you looking for happiness on the other side of your goals?
