Self Help Books
The latest fad diet…
We want you to compare: How much time are you spending reading or listening about things to make you better vs actually putting in the work to get better?
Did you know: You can get a dopamine hit just from thinking about making changes to your life?
It can be addicting to read about all the ways you could be the person you want to be and all the things you could do to become a healthier version of yourself.
What we want to be careful of is it stopping there.
As great as the world of technology is, it has a way of making you feel like you’re making progress but not actually doing anything.
Going back to the first question: How much time have you spent since January of this year reading or listening to self improvement stuff vs how much better have you become since January?
These are TOUGH questions, and they may not be super black and white. But we encourage you to sit down and spend some time looking deeper in to where you’re spending your time.
Self help books and articles are wonderful to read; they keep us up to date, can help motivate and keep us on track. Just be careful not to fall in to the trap of forgetting to take the time to put to action the things that you’re learning!
